Anniversary Dolls by Viktor & Rolf Brand
Young and talented designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren have decided to celebrate the 17th anniversary of their famous brand Viktor & Rolf , as usual, in a very original way.
On the occasion of this peculiar “anniversary” the brand has released a set of 30 dolls, dressed in carefully executed copies of the remarkable costumes from Viktor & Rolf – each doll represents one of the collections created by designers since 1993.
Strange, unusual, sometimes even fantastic costumes by Dutch designers made in vintage style of dolls look very interesting.
The collection includes outfits such as a completely white dress from the first collection of haute couture of spring-summer 1998, a mysterious “Russian” model – something like a long cloak of burlap with a rose, as well as “a walking bed”, an outfit with “blanket” and “pillow” from the autumn-winter collection 2005.
Dolls made by the designers are executed thoroughly and in details, including not only the original outfits, but also accessories, and even the make-up of the “models”.
The exhibition of anniversary dolls “from couture” of Viktor & Rolf brand is now on in the Studio Job Gallery in Belgian city of Antwerp and will last until July 15, 2010.
