Autumn-winter collection of pre-fall 2010 from Chanel
The famous couturier Karl Lagerfeld from “rural fantasy in the hayloft” smoothly moved to the urban fantasies.
The background to the autumn-winter collection of pre-fall 2010 from Chanel in Shanghai was a fantastic “night city of future”, with a neon kaleidoscope and incredible towers – as if the decorations are specially created for a spectacular movie.

However, brand’s new collection does not concede decorations. Before delighted thousands of spectators were shown luxurious and arty clothes of such designing styles as: Chinese, Mongolian, Arabian and other cultures of the Middle and especially the Far East.
Shanghai of Lagerfeld became the “Paris of the East”, and the podium just drowned in a stream of outstanding models, where one was better than another. This defile was the brand’s another step in the conquest of China, as its popularity has increased very much in this country in recent years.
Most dresses were made in the glamorous style of 1920-1930’s – the era of well-dressed ladies in the casinos and Opium Shanghai. And in some outfits are clearly visible Russian motives.
