Carolina Herrera Collection Show in Moscow
Recently, more and more famous designers come to Moscow for the demonstration of their collections. The next celebrity guest of the capital became the couturier Carolina Herrera, creating a chic dress in an elegant and noble style.
Herrera brought a ready-to-wear spring-summer collection 2010 to Russia, which was shown in Moscow. Fashion show attracted most of the capital celebrities, a part of which you can see in the gallery.
As it was later explained by Herrera, for creating this collection she was inspired by Japan: “When I drew the sketches, I was inspired by Japanese culture and nature.”
“You can see the influence of Japanese culture and the silhouette reminiscent of geisha costumes, and in the color palette of the collection there are many shades of the rising sun and cherry blossoms – explained the designer. – But the key moment for me was the artful knitting of the Japanese baskets: Pay attention to the texture of fabrics and accessories.
Typical for the fashion brand of Carolina Herrera, designer dilutes ethnic motives by appropriate Hollywood chic, complementing dresses and suits with large sequins, beads, intricate embroidery and gold thread.
Vlad Lisovets summed up his impressions and in the conversation with others noted: “It seems that all was shown in a way: luxurious fabrics, and curtains, and upholstery for furniture.
Carolina Herrera raised much more excitement among the audience – the stately and dramatic woman, dressed in a noble trouser suit. The designer stepped 70-year milestone, which is impossible to guess. She is incredibly energetic, charming and friendly. It is noticeable, in the way she talks to aides and the press.
In a press interview couturier said: “Russian women are very beautiful. Also, they really love fashion. I think that these two components are the true recipe for their success. They know how to look elegant, effective. Not all are able to wear expensive clothes the way Russians do.
Answering to the question about the work on her collections, Carolina Herrera explained: “When I am working on a collection, the main thing that I want to show is that we should bring a bit of fantasy and beauty in the reality. Then ordinary life will be much brighter then. “
