Cartier and J. Mendel: Fur and Diamonds
Natural furs and diamonds are the stars’ traditional companions and signs of luxurious wardrobe. Recently, in a Moscow restaurant “Bolshoi” has been arranged a reception on those two topics.
The evening was organized by the CEO the famous brand in Ross Francois Cartier Le Trocaire, the owner of the boutique J. Mendel Aysel Trudel and director of Cartier’s flagship boutique Tatiana Torchilin.
At the reception were presented jeweler news from the famous Cartier house, as well as luxurious furs and evening dresses from J. Mendel. The evening was modeled under the 1940′s of the twentieth century: models in evening gowns and fur coats from J. Mendel defiled under the jazz solo of Karina Kozhevnikova and demonstrated Cartier Jewelry .
The guests, among who were Sati Spivakov, Oksana Lavreneva and Anastasia Ryabtsova, were enthusiastically trying on furs from J. Mendel and examined rings with 10-carat diamonds, the brilliance of which eclipsed the camera flashes.
Besides jewelry, Cartier introduced a new collection of clocks, securely hidden in shop windows, resembling the safe-box in the office of Joan Tussan – the muse of Louis Cartier and one of the most elegant women of her time.
In fact, Tussan made an invaluable contribution to the affairs of Cartier, by occupying the post of director of jewelry in 1933. She had unsurpassed instinct: all models of jewelry, which she approved, had the greatest popularity among buyers.
An exclusive surprise was also prepared by J. Mende fashion house: specifically for Russian clientsm the designer Gilles Mendel has created an incredibly elegant accessory – boas with fox fur trim.
