On 14th of May was held the original show of clothes and headwear Tulips & Pansies: The Headdress Affair in New York. The main materials that were used in their production were fresh and artificial flowers. 17 fashion designers and florists such as Tori Birch, Ralph Ruchchi, Pamela Roulend, Cynthia Steffen, have already been taking part in the eighth annual show of Tulips & Pansies, demonstrating more than just stylish outfits.

Every florist in collaboration with a certain designer created original and decorative headdresses, which were the main decoration on the models. The collection was made from lilies, orchids, roses and even palm leaves. The unusual headgears were the main accessories attracting the attention on the fashion show: bright, colorful, sometimes reaching 1.2 meters in height, resembling a bird’s nest, a basket of flowers or a wreath of Cleopatra.

After the show the live auction of hats began; all the proceeds were dedicated to the charitable fund project Village Care, which is helping urban hospices.

Among the most remarkable hats shown during that day in New York, were a live broad bed of red roses, surmounted by three succulent sunflowers, lush composition of fresh herbs and wedding pictures, bridal veil of white lilies, tea roses and wild orchids.

The special variety has the casual style of clothing for dogs from the shop “Zoolavka” (classic dungarees from Burberry, cashmere sweaters from Rani Arabella, Ed Hardy and PlayBoy Peruvian alpaca ponchos, dresses, tops, shirts, tops, swimsuits from Hello Kitty, sports T- shirts and bags). Bona Dea clothes and accessories collection’s show for cats should be marked out, also the dress show for cats from VENERA and beautiful “floral” accessories show from Alena Popova.

The outfits have been demonstrated by dogs of chuhia-hua , Yorkshire terrier breeds and by the Canadian Sphinx. Quadruped models were in the black dresses and with aggressive “animal” make-up on the face. The PETS FASHION WEEK in RUSSIA also included Stars Parade, during which the show business stars walked along the podium with their pets. Alexander Sands with his yorkes Yemelia and Ludwig, Victoria Bonya with her chihua-hua – Joliettoy and Leonid Zakoshansky with his huge white Shepherd made a real sensation!

Among the participants of Stars Parade were Alexander Belov, Olga Lucky (band “Virus”), girls from the group of “Podium”, Elena Kniazeva, Eugene Holmskoi (Group “H2O”), lounge-diva Francesc Orbek, artist Arseny Vlasov, whose paintings are the series of “icons of modernity. PFWR was the evidence that the love of animals and the ability to combine the beauty is able to destroy all the stereotypes and boundaries.

Patters in Al-Nouveau and embroideries are required features in SUVENIR style. Usually they are magnificent and cheerful design and flowers that remind Pavlo-posadian scarves. But this season, senior designer of the brand Tatiana Alekhina created the dramatic gowns with sophisticated patterns and jacquard fabrics with al-Nouveau geometry. Colors of collection are built on complex combinations of blue-black, dark crimson and mustard colors. The play of various compound shades is giving a dramatic image of luxury. Space-charge details, close-fitting in the waist silhouettes that are so typical for Tatiana Alyokhina consequently give a fresh and fine look. Moreover, due to the skilful work with color and texture, decoration is not overloading the clothes. Jacquard fabric with floristic patterns which were used in this collection is very diverse. There are slightly fuzzy flowers, decorated with multi-threads or embroidery, small naively ironic bouquets on a dark background and the simple patterns of narrow-leaf form. 

SUVENIR collection is very practical. It is always possible to find items for all occasions. The collection is full with flexible close-fitting coats with narrow shoulders, trousers and skirts from superfine Italian wool, chiffon blouses decorated with ruche and hanging bows, soft jackets with built-belts. Traditionally, much attention is paid to SUVENIR dresses. They are very different: ideally fitted cases with big details and patterns, summer dresses in the spirit of baby-doll, symmetrical drape tunics, dresses, balloon-dresses with tight bras and, of course, a collection of cocktail and evening dresses simply or richly decorated with semiprecious stone embroideries.
