Chapeau-2009: Fashionable Hats
“A woman without a hat is the same as Eiffel Tower without a tip,” – French insist. They believe that it is the accessory that can transform a woman in a mysterious and bold, elegant, bright and coquettish stranger.
In Moscow Chapeau-2009 exhibition was opened, which brought together more than 300 brands of hats and a few thousand true fans of fashionable hats. “Hat is a halo of happiness” – once said the editor of Italian Vogue, Anna Piaggi. “If you want to see happy eyes of a woman – give her a hat,” – she declared at the opening of the hat exhibition of Vyacheslav Zaitsev.
By the way, the opening ceremony started with the defile of two collections of Autumn-Winter 2009/2010 from Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Zaitsev’s each creation is a work of art. Everything is checked: from shoes to accessories, from hats to pantyhose.
“If a woman has a full face, then she should wear a high hat, which visually elongates the face, – hat designer Violetta Litvinova advices. – If she has narrow and thin face she should choose a hat, which covers her forehead”.
It turns out that red-haired woman should “escape” from red tones. With pale face – it is desirable to avoid headgears of pastel tones. And blondes should not choose yellow and beige hats. Dark-haired girls can wear hats of any color, of course, taking into account the color and type of their clothing.
“I have a weakness for hats. They are elegant and eccentric, funny and dramatic. In my opinion, it is impossible to forget a woman in hat! Choosing a hat in a store with a luxurious assortment – is a real fun,” – once said Sophia Loren.
“I love hats. They make men look after you” – jokes Russian Actress Evelyn Bledans, circling in front of a mirror and trying on hats.
Elegant hats made from tulle, hats with fresh flowers, with feathers, national headgear – fashionable women had something to admire. However, few people took the liberty of trying on. But visitors were especially interested in fur hats. Remembering Russia’s cold winters, they joked: “Prepare your sleigh in summer…….. and winter hats too!”
The exhibition started with usual fireworks and ended with “stars” fireworks. Drummers show, EksBB, Viktor Chaika and Boney M were invited. The audience danced, sang and boasted of purchased hats.
