One of the “fresh” scandals that erupted in the western world of fashion, became the story with the editor of the French edition of Vogue Carine Roytfeld in the leading role.
Karin, one of the most influential women in the world of fashion, and her colleagues were not recently allowed to display a new collection of Balenciaga in Paris Fashion Week. Moreover, Balenciaga brand withdrew from the French edition of Vogue all its advertising and refuses to continue cooperation with it.
They say that the reason for this sudden burst was negligence or malice of Karin Roytfeld or one of her colleagues. Allegedly representatives Balenciaga sent samples of the publication of a new collection of clothing for editorial purposes, and then missed a sketch of a coat.
The disappeared sketch of Balenciaga was found by the designers of Max Mara brand in their studio, who were so glad to see the generous gift and immediately copied it. Then the sketch was sent back to Paris. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that Karin Roytfeld is Max Mara’s fashion consultant and, according to representatives of Balenciaga, the scandal was initiated precisely by her.
Balenciaga outraged: everyone in the world of fashion knows how are cherished in this fashion house to the samples, and the story of Max Mara shook brand managers to the depths of the soul.
We want to believe that this story is just a mistake. But informed sources claim that Karin Roytfeld did it intentionally.
