Fashionable Fur
Fur is the oldest and most traditional material in the history of clothing. It was used as protection from cold, as a sign of power, as a shelter, as litter and even as a means of payment.
Today fur is a symbol of luxury and prestige, social status and prosperity. Almost everything is produced from this beautiful and practical material – bags, shoes, interior, notebooks … and, of course, fur coats.
Fur coats, as you know, are different. Artificial fur, in recent years has won most of the domestic market of outdoor clothing, is now losing ground. Expensive natural fur has
returned to the counter.
Natural mink is warm even in summer, because her mistress knows that this is a work of art hanging in her closet, waiting for its “stardom”. And in terms of domestic frost it is preferable to wear natural fur.
One should approach the choice of fur products properly. You must decide at once with multiple parameters. First, you need to decide which animal fur coat you want. There are a lot of options, and today we offer the most actual of them for your consideration.
It is strange but true. Chinchilla fur has not always been so esteemed as today. In XIX century, for example, the scale value of fur does not coincide with the current. According to it chinchilla was listed only at the 10th place. In general, women of fashion are not advised to wear this fur, because, they say, gray color unprofitably shades the face.
Today, the chinchilla is among the three most expensive furs. Unfortunately, this luxurious fur is not very hardwearing. In addition, exclusive chinchilla requires a fairly delicacy of
treatment. In general, it is not recommended to sit in long-tailed coat of the chinchilla: scrapings from skins are very thin and upon tension can simply break.
Fur of mink is one of the most traditional and most expensive furs. It is smooth, shiny,
andthe touch is very soft and silky. This fur came into vogue during the second half of the last century, and today all the world fashion-conscious women continue to dress ultra-fashionably in mink coats. Chic capes and mink tippets are worn for evening toilet. In the burrow one can be dressed about 10 seasons, but only on condition that the fur will not be painted, plucked, or subjected to other fancy processing.
Products of otters are considered champions in the toe: If right care is taken they serve
faithfully to 20 seasons! When Russian explorers first saw sea otters of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, they realized that they face “real money”. Durability of otter furs in the fur trade is actually taken for 100%.Impermeability is one of the advantages of this fur. They did not
learn to breed these animals in captivity; they are reproduced quite slowly, so theproduction of fur is not easy.
Long fleecy fox fur suits flirtatious and playful natures. This luxurious fur can increase energy and give its owner a certain amount of sensuality, so the fox fur is often used in luxury evening models. At the end of XIX century, St Petersburg newspapers wrote: “Fox admires with many of its nuances. We can say that after death it can take any kind of look in
order to help the coquetry of women”. Until the thirties, this fur went usually to the finish. And only in 1932, Marlene Dietrich appeared on the screen in a coat of a fox. With the parameters of luxury and durability the fox fur is not inferior to the mink fur.
Rabbit Fur coats are always popular. The demand for this type of fur can be easily explained: relatively low price, ease of fur, moderate “warmth and plasticity of products. Purchasing a product from the fur of the rodent, it must be remembered that, to disrepair, it will come in three or four seasons.
In pursuit of cheapness one can seriously lose in quality. If you do not want to get colored Mexican jerboa in place of cherished mink in a cunning manner, you should pay attention to the rules for acquiring coats, which we shall discuss below.
Check the coat on the tendency to hair loss. Pull over fur pile properly – if hair remains in the fingers or under fur, it means you’re dealing with low quality product. Do not believe sellers who are most likely
trying to convince you that the fringe should fall off a new coat during the first week. It is leaves that fall in autumn, but rightly wrought fur holds firmly.
Checking the strength of a fur, check it on the resistance. Squeeze the fur in your fist. It would be nice if it did not slip and quickly came to its original state.
If you decide to buy a painted fur coat (by the way, this thing is worn for 20 per cent faster than the natural), then be sure to check the quality of color. Rub the fur with a handkerchief. Ideally, the subject of hygiene must be left with no traces.
Upon completion of these tests for compression, pulling and rubbing of the fur, feel the seams. Rest assured, if the seam is small and not too prominent, but if you do not find it by feeling then you should think about it. It may be that a glued product is before you.
Try to buy furs in big stores, to minimize the risk of spending your money on fake.
