First Russian Museum of Fashion and Defile of Slava Zaitsev at Russian Fashion Week

This year, contrary to the established tradition, Russian Fashion Week of spring / summer season 2010 has been opened before the beginning of Moscow Fashion Week. The official opening of RFW was held in the All-Russia museum of decorative and folk and national art.

The fact is that it was here that the first Russia museum of fashion was solemnly opened, and this event was attended by many famous guests – from the Minister of Culture of RF to the stars and stylists. The things created by the Russia’s leading couturiers will be exhibited in the museum – and for the time being, the models of Vyacheslav Zaitsev are being shown there.
The next day after the opening of the Russian Museum of Fashion the first defile of RFW-2010 was held – the showing of spring-summer collection “Contrary” by Slava Zaitsev.
Another collection of Zaitsev again differed with nostalgic longing for vintage and ethnic grounds: from the Russian – to the Chinese.
Red color dominated in bright dresses, there were lots of original hats, gaiters and lush skirts. This time, however, clothes with black-and-white prints were included in the collection.
Show took little time and, in the end, Vyacheslav Zaitsev having come out to pay homage under the song “How young we were” even shed a tear.
In our gallery you will see both outfits from Slava Zaitsev, and celebrity guests of the opening of Russian Fashion Week and the first Russian museum of fashion.
