Luxurious Things Continue to Attract Buyers
The last season of the Weeks of high fashion has proved once again that the luxury continues to attract buyers despite the global economic crisis.
According to the majority of the greatest designers, producing not only a massive collection of ready-to-wear, but unique collections haute couture, the number of orders has remained the same. Exclusivity and extra-high price are still the guarantors that the novelty will probably find its new owner. For example, Italian brand Brioni, has recently issued a limited collection of suits at 43 thousand dollars. The main advantage of the suits is not high quality fabrics, but the limited number: there are only 100 examples of such suits.

According to the recent study conducted by marketing company Prince & Associates, potential customers of luxury-brands, are those whose wealth excesses 30 million dollars, is hardly felt by the devastating impact of the crisis. 60% of owners of large wealth that have participated in the study said that they continue to spend money on luxury items – such as jewelry for more than 200 thousand dollars.
”Very rich people, whose wealth is evaluated more than 30 million dollars, will continue to buy luxury items – but will become more careful in their spending”, say the experts from Grail Research. “They continue to control the millions of dollars, and are not going to change their habits – they will continue to buy the exclusive, expensive things which are not prone to the influence of time and trends”.
