Today we begin to acquaint you with the major fashion trends of women outerwear of fall-winter season 2009-2010.

Focusing on the shoulders
The line shape of the shoulders and sleeves require maximum attention this winter. These details make the familiar silhouettes very attractive and fashionable.
Whether it is trench or the most ordinary cloak, it will undoubtedly benefit from this cut, which is headed today by the style of 1980.
Now structural shoulders in the form of pagoda, high set triangular sleeves with the assembly became very relevant. Notorious “shoulders” returned, which again, as twenty years ago, make women shoulders bulky and expressive.

New forms range from structural models of a knee-length and free-to three-quarter options. It expands our choice of a variety of finishes – a cloak with a hood, with a decoration in the “military” style and with a zipper.
The presented models will help to replenish the wardrobe and will surely be useful in stratification of clothing.

Shapeless models
To fell warm and look stylish and fashionable at the same time is not a difficult task. The popularity of winter coats of structureless forms will increase.
Models are very different, but with common features of a cut: wide and baggy, bulky, and with a rounded silhouette, with shapeless sloping shoulders, and free-style kimono sleeves.
In such a coat you will probably feel warm and comfortable, but your image will not get lost in the piling of the material. The most spectacular may seem models of cellular tissue and fluffy mohair quality.

Models with a “zipper”
One of the novelties of autumn-winter season of 2009-2010, has already gained its popularity. Free and fitted coats and even capes this winter are fastened with the open metal zipper.
Mostly, models with a zipper do not have collar, differ with rounded shoulder line and slightly shortened sleeves. It should be noted that the area is covered by various styles: from modernism and minimalism – to hybrid styles with elements of the bikers.
The new models are also characterized by contrasting finishes: the “zipper” and the edges are highlighted with color opposite to the tone of the basic material.

“Cocoon” coat
The seasonal “propaganda” of models with high-peaked shoulders does not mean that the rounded ones have moved into the category of old-fashioned. On the contrary, they constitute an alternative direction, where the smoothness and the volume are equally beautiful and attractive as their opposites.
Gentle curves of the shoulder and gradual narrowing towards the bottom is really something reminding a cocoon, but it looks free, unobtrusive and very comfortable.
And, of course, one cannot ignore the designing techniques that are specific to this season: the lack of a collar or a featureless broad cut of the neck, the buckle in the form of a zipper along the entire length, or any other fastening.
