New York Fashion Week: Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti
After a few heavy coats and complex designs of last season, the designer Alberta Ferretti has decided to create something lighter for her subsidiary brand Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti.
Indeed, the spring-summer collection of ready-to-wear in 2010 of the brand has become one of the most air and light creations shown at New York Fashion Week (Mercedes-Benz IMG New York Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2010).
The designer herself described her new collection as “romantic and sporty pop art”.
New spring and summer dresses and suits from Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti are so light that it seems as if they are about to be carried away by the wind, and sometimes are so transparent that are like haze covering the bodies of the models.
Lightweight translucent, “mini” length, gentle and sunny colors and simple silhouettes in this collection are combined with bright prints and appliqués in the form of lips, eyes and butterflies.
