New York Fashion Week: Stylish Minimalism of the future from Michael Kors
The famous designer Michael Kors, unlike many of his colleagues, suggested a stylish minimalism for the future warm season.
The spring-summer collection of ready-to-wear in 2010 from Michael Kors, shown at New York Fashion Week (Mercedes-Benz IMG New York Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2010), according to the couturier, is the result of his reflections on architectural forms.
Stylish women’s and men’s clothes from this collection, many of which are sustained in a futuristic style, have earned critical acclaim and epithets such as “Ode to Spring City.
Clear shapes and the geometry of a cut, black and white or pastel range of colors, graphic prints, unexpected cuts, the asymmetry of a cut and clear plastic insert – all this has already occurred in various spring-summer collections, but Michael Kors was more stylish than the others.
The collection’s core are mini-dresses of simple silhouettes – including cocktail and evening with sequins, but there are also cashmere outfits, swimsuit, reminiscent of the model from the Herve Leger by Max Azria, and suits with skirts. Among the materials in the collection dominate jersey, Lama, taffeta and delicate “gauntlet” leather.
I want to note a gray dress “coat” with shaped collar and a wonderful sparkling print, models with prints reminiscent of a starry sky, the spots of paint or ink blots, and the blue dress which cut reminds origami.
In the next articles we will introduce you the fragments of clothes, simple but stylish footwear, handbags and jewelry from this collection.
