The fact is that since the 1980′s Ronnie draws, and this hobby has helped him to cure from alcoholism as well. Now, when 62-year-old Wood lives with his 20-year-old Russian girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova, a musician wants to be closer to today’s youth.
All started with the fact that Ronnie Wood accidentally met Salman Tamara, the creative director of a well-known brand in the West Liberty of London.
This brand earlier worked with all kinds of artists. When asked to present his “art therapy” in fashionable prints and Ronnie replied with enthusiastic consent.
Thus, several recent Wood’s paintings are bright prints decorating dresses, shirts, tops, scarves, purses and other components of the recently released collection from Liberty of London.
Among the paintings-prints are oriental picture “Orchid”, a rock ‘n’ roll “Hawaiian guitar” and work “I want to draw”, created by Ronnie after a six-week course of rehabilitation and treatment of alcoholism.
According to the words of musician, it was youth that inspired him to use the brightest and juicy red-orange hues in drawings. “You cannot imagine what it’s like – when young people come to you and say:” Hey, Ronnie, you’re just one of us.
