This stylish attire has enriched the wardrobes of two stars: Fergie and Julianne Hough.

Last December Fergie appeared in this dress at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie “Nine”. Graceful jewelry, feminine black sandals and black-and-gold checked clutch supplemented the celebrity’s dress.

Clothing Color

Fabrics

Wrong: shiny, iridescent fabrics, an abundance of sequins – all this attracts the eye to the “problem” areas.
It is a mistake: just ignore the shiny fabric. Shiny fabrics are quite appropriate, for example, for an evening wardrobe. But their use may be somewhat limited: iridescent wrap or brilliant bag, iridescent finish of the dress.

The 81th ceremony of the American Film Academy Awards – yes, the very statues Oscar – was held at the famous Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. It was broadcasted live on American TV channel ABC. But what if you couldn’t find the desired colour or the most amazing dress doesn’t sit well? And in this case there will be options too:
Individual tailoring. You can be photographed in a dress you liked and bring pictures to the atelier. Plus in this case would be a perfect landing and possible a good price too. But you would better forget this of: You don’t know exactly what you want and are easily discouraged in case there is something you don’t like for 100%, you are not prepared to spend lots of time searching for fabrics and accessories.

Wearng a costume!

All of us know that the costume is an important part of a wardrobe, consisting of several parts: a jacket, skirt or trousers and possibly a jacket. Costumes can be both for men and for women, but recently the line between them is becoming less pronounced. We, women, dress up and made it one of our main clothes. But which of us doesn’t doubt in the choice of “the very” dress for an interview or important business meeting?

Typically, a case when a woman puts on a suit is a special case. That should be in your mind when selecting a costume. What is its purpose? When and where will you put on that costume?

If you are going to work in an office where there is strict atmosphere a subordination, you will always need a costume. Now the costumes have become popular for other exits. For example, at a wedding or birthday party of the elder cousin. Or even for an evening out to the theater or a restaurant!

Pants or skirt!

The traditional women’s clothing is skirt. Of course, you must be attentive to the atmosphere of your job, but you must know that a woman in a skirt looks more professional than in pantsuit. Be sure that the purchased clothes are suitable for the purpose for which they are needed. Take care of a good tailor, and if you’ll do everything correctly, you will make a lasting impression on the interview or in the office or maybe during a secular party!

All around you are losing weight. Someone is doing this with unimaginable speed; someone is slowly but surely approaching the cherished 90-60-90. You are always very interested in learning new innovative recipes of weight loss. Women’s ingenuity has no bounds!

- Make a bet who will be thinner in more than six months. My friend now beats all records of absorption of food: she eats one apple in half an hour! But the arrow of the scale goes down which makes her very happy!

- Throw large plates or give them to your relatives and impose all the food only into the dessert plates. It automatically controls the size of portions. Don’t forget to follow not only the size of plates, but also what food you put in it.

- Have two puppies of Jack-Russell-Terrier breed. They are the most moving dogs I have ever seen in my life. And if they are two, then you won’t have a rest even for a minute. Walking with them is equivalent to half scamper on the stadium. The only difference is while walking with dogs, you will feel the full sense of happiness and satisfaction.

- To get out from the bus earlier. It is a very efficient way to walk half an hour, especially if you are late and go on high-heels. Some manage to make such «heroic deeds» during different weather conditions.

- Adhere to the rule as «better less, but better». It is suitable for girls, that can’t imagine their life without the Sweet. If you really really like chocolate, it is better to eat a little bit than to swallow a pack of unsavory fatless cottage cheese and spoil your mood for the whole day.

She receives inspiration to create her masterpieces, contemplating the majestic mountain landscapes, Fjords delicious shore and mysterious space of the universe. She was fascinated with unusual structure and design of the ceiling of the airport in Hong Kong …  Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by Japanese, as tiny as a doll, wearing a national dress and with a fan in her hand, which was an unusual behavior for this place. She was interested what the woman was looking at. A female architect from Iceland suddenly understood that the pattern of tissue of the Japanese national dress, slim fan, the ceiling design and construction of the airport form an amazing and admirable picture of the harmony of the universe. And suddenly an inspiration comes to her …

Benedikte Utzon New collection

This meeting became the designer Benedikte Utzon inspiration to create a luxury collection of women clothing. Soft lines and shapes of models, decorative stitches and elegant lines emphasize feminine, sensual forms of the female body. Range of shades and colors reflect the magnificence of the universe. From deep coral-red to lime, the color of orange, gold, sand and powder, violet – and all these shades are connected with magnetic black and soft white. She also created large soft bags with raw edges. Exclusive performance and luxury forms are out of time.

New York photographer Daniel Krieger takes pictures of street fashion, food and art. He worked for The Wall Street Journal, The Daily News, The New York Post, Time Out New York, also for The British Times, Elle Décor magazine and other printed and Internet publications.

As Daniel told us, the series of photos named Street Scenes, was made by him for one of the Internet portals. It was a standard task to show how people dress in a normal weekday, hurrying to school, work and so on. What they wear, when they take their dogs out or when they just go for a walk to the park. So, once a week Daniel was walking the whole day in the streets looking for different characters in the New York crowd. He was looking for people wearing unique, interesting or just fun dresses. In fact, sometimes he had to coax people to take photos. The project with the internet portal stretched over several years. And during this time Daniel accumulated a lot of photos of New York audience. He agreed to let me look at them. In his Street Scenes he showed dressed-up children, and strict clerks in suits and ties, freaky old people, and just stylish youth. With the last we decided to limit ourselves.

World War I took away not only millions of lives and national boundaries, but also the length of women’s skirts. The former was a tragedy, but the latter was the apparent blessing. Women follow the fashion in any occasions.  And which war was able to destroy the fashion trends? At that time Coco Chanel catches the right moment, and in 1926 creates his wonderful masterpiece: a small black dress, which changed the whole stereotype of fashion with its long skirts and dresses.

A small black dress met all the requirements of the dressing code, which could have been invented in the distant 1926: it needed a little quantity of material (during those difficult times the textile industry was also suffering), it could be used (and still can) as an evening dress and work clothes, it suited with almost any hairstyle and any length of hair, it did not require extra costs and could be sewn from almost any material, both expensive and cheap. So it was the perfect invention of that time.

A small black dress created a commotion. Of course, it is a collection of many merits and a minimum defects. American magazine Vogue, which predicted the appearance of a dress-uniform of great simplicity, modern, elegant and comfortable, gave «La Ford» nickname to this small black dress, comparing it with the most popular model of car. The comparison was more than truth: both Ford and small black dress embodies the same things: modernity, elegance and convenience.

The first small black dress from Coco Chanel still had some conservative notes of early twentieth century and a need for accessories. It was sewn from a black crepe-de-chine (China silk) and crossed diagonally from top to bottom of the decorative embroidery. The necessary attribute for the dress were long sleeves of Coco Chanel’s favorite classic length – until the middle of the knee. According to Coco Chanel, knees were always spoiling the impression of the female figure, so they had to be hidden.

A small black dress instantly won its place in everyone’s wardrobe all over the world. It was worn by princesses and maids. Coco Chanel recommended wearing pearls with a small black dress.

A small black dress did not simply become a popular model in a specific time, it has remained popular till now. Coco Chanel marked that every woman should have in her wardrobe a small black dress. Having such a dress in her wardrobe a woman will be dressed well and in accordance with the latest trends of fashion.

Of course, a modern small black dress differs from the classical model by Coco Chanel. It is not a necessary element to wear sleeves, the decorative embroidery has vanished, and the models of skirts are different, from the broad and lush, to narrow, following all the curves of body. A small black dress got décolleté, shoulder straps and belts. But despite any changes, the main idea will stay the same: modernity, elegance and convenience.

A small black dress is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Its attractiveness lies mainly in that the dress itself is located on the second stage. When a woman is dressed in a small black dress, people will not enjoy the art of the designer, but they will enjoy the woman herself, who becomes the picture and the dress is just a frame. If there are some problems with the figure (f.e. extra weight), then you’d better forget about it. If there is a problem with a skin, the black dress will only underline its defects.

We can say that a small black dress has spurred the development of areas of knowledge and industry. The necessity to have a good skin for wearing this dress has caused a boom in the cosmetics and perfumery industry.
