The luxurious fashion house Lanvin introduces its new fashion collection which is introduced by the Brazilian bombshell Raquel Zimmermann and the British supermodel Karen Elson. The advertisement of the French label goes this way. The models dance at home in front of the camera, this is the main action for shooting the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign.

The collection features elegant lady dresses and fashionable accessories, stiff and menswear. You may think that the advertising seems to be a bit silly, but it is really very funny and charming.
The new Lanvin fall/winter 2011/2012 ad campaign is a kind of innovation in the fashion world. The Photos of the ad campaign have been taken by Steven Meisel. The two od the models really made the new Lanvin fall/winter 2011/2012 ad campaign more amazing. I want to mention that they dance to the song Pitbull “I know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)”.
The room is luxuries as you notice, which is very important too. The atmosphere makes the ad campaign even more jealousy. Lowell Tautchin and Milo Spijkers support the girls’ dancing and appearing in the style of 1930s. The wide brim hats and velvet jackets adds a retro style to the collection. Alber Elbaz who is the creative director of the Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collections also can be seen in the dance floor wearing clothing from the menswear collection.

In both of the collection from the Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011/2012 you will find stylish outerwear, glamorous dresses, chic suits, and other clothing pieces and accessories for lux men and women. The cocktail dresses will come to taste to women. They are embellished with oversize brooches and voluminous details, elegant skirts with sharp lines, killing shoes, gloves, hats, handbags, classic clutches, and a variety of stylish jewelry with amazing designs. They will make the gloomy season brighter. The fusion of dark colors and faded prints with bright pops of red, fuchsia, yellow will provide the stunning brightness of the collection.

The menswear line includes brim hats, shades of gray, loose-fitting pants and velvet jackets, streamlined outerwear and suits. The black and gray colors dominate in the collection. But you will also see yellow, brown and shades of the red color.
Shall we join to the Dance of the new Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign?

The famous Russian couturier Valentin Yudashkin has recently opened a new boutique of his brand in Moscow. The representation of Valentin Yudashkin Fashion House is located in the old mansion of Sumarokov in the city centre.
The opening of a new boutique has excited the high society of Moscow and has gathered together many local stars.
At a press conference dedicated to this event Yudashkin said that he lived near the house of Sumarokov and felt sorry about the collapse of the ancient building, that’s why he turned to the mayor of Moscow with a proposal to restore it.

”I signed a contract on long-term lease for 49 years”, – told the couturier. – That is why we thought about the construction work with trepidation, realizing that we are to stay here for a long time. This house was reconstructed; its previous historical appearance was recovered”.
The restored two-story building was occupied with thematic halls with collections of Yudashkin – here all the creative directions/tendencies of the talented designer are presented, including the unexpected experimental project Yudashkin Home with massive furniture.
Despite the rainy weather, the opening of the new boutique of the brand in the Voznesensky side street was attended by many metropolitan stars – even by those who do not usually appear on the defile and Fashion weeks.
Among the major guests were, of course, Naomi Campbell and Vladislav Doronin – Yudashkin and her wife personally showed them all the halls of the mansion and displayed the exposed outfits. Naomi mostly liked the wedding dresses.
Among the guests of the event were the couples Dyuzheva and Spivakov, Valery and Joseph Prigogine, Natasha Korolyova and her husband Tarzan, Nadejda Babkina and Igor Krutoy, Boris Moiseev and his wife, Alexander Bujnov, Oleg Gazmanov and his wife, Klara Novikova and Vladimir Vinokur, Kira Plastinina and many others.

The opening of the boutique was also attended by pregnant Miroslava Duma, who liked the design very much. Miroslava and Helena Perminova admired the bags, dresses and especially the elegant hats- “tablets” from Yudashkin, which price varied from 200 to 400 thousand roubles. However, the girls purchased nothing.

In a press interview Duma said: “I had a wedding dress made by Yudashkin, but I think that one should grow up to wear dresses from his collections. Valentine’s style meets the requirements of more serious women. I still prefer wearing something youthful, for example, Topshop”.
And Klara Novikova, dressed in bright attire in the style of the turkmen robe, said: “I am of the opinion that it is much more original to wear clothes not from famous designers but from other nations”.

One of the collections shown at Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring / Summer 2010 was the new creation of the Zuhair Murad Lebanese fashion house. The spring-summer haute-couture collection 2010 of this brand is quite acceptable within the Lebanese luxury in fashion.
Semi-transparent fabric, appliqué and complicated embroidery, inlays, feathers and drappery, too tight or curvy silhouettes – all this again was reflected in the collection Zuhair Murad.

The new thing for the brand was the emphasis on “military” style – in this case, it comes to evening dresses with elements of hussar uniforms, military uniforms and knightly armors. Some models were even adorned with epaulets and decorations, and the dress of “hacks” color really surprised everybody.
The style of “military” was futuristic and sexual – adorned with cuts, and even studded outfits (including a gold suit), and looked very challenging.

We would also like to mention the well-developed theme of the popular national style with embroidery and silhouettes, and more fabulous dresses on a transparent basis – one of the favorite tricks of the designer. Among the spring-summer dresses were quite a few mini-dresses and models with asymmetrical cut.
White-gray-black and gold-silver scale of new collection Zuhair Murad is diluted with bright red and blue-blue tones.

Famous Japanese fashion house Yohji Yamamoto has become the latest victim of the global economic crisis, followed by Christian Lacroix who declared his bankruptcy. Burdened by huge debt of 76 million dollars, the brand Yohji Yamamoto has already appealed to the Tokyo court to protect it from creditors.
However, the situation of 67-year-old Yohji Yamamoto is not so sad as the situation with his colleagues, like Christian Lacroix: the fact is that the firm Integral Corporation offered the Japanese couturier contribution means.

Yamamoto agreed, as he is not going to leave the beloved business. He hoped that the funding and management of the new sponsor’s brand will help to overcome the crisis and “to stay afloat.” At the same time, Christian Lacroix, proudly rejects offers of assistance from potential investors.
In general, the crisis has severely shaken the industry of luxury and high fashion in Japan. It has recently closed 3 boutiques, Versace, and Louis Vuitton has decided not to open a store in this country. However, cheaper and more democratic networks – such as H & M and Uniqlo – are flourishing, even in times of crisis in Japan.
Apparently, Yamamoto had a premonition of impending events, as his spring-summer 2010 collection is full of tattered and torn clothes – seem to symbolize holes in the economic position of High Fashion in general, and the brand Yohji Yamamoto, in particular.

At last a long-awaited 81th ceremony of presentation of the most desirable statues in the world was over. Leaving aside the film failures and achievements, let’s pay attention only to the visible brilliance of celebrities – on their clothes and jewelry – what conclusions can we make? Did Oscar in the period of the global crisis differ from the Oscar in the period of world prosperity? What colors should be worn to look like a Hollywood actress? Which designers presented the best dresses on the red carpet? Our small review is about dresses on the most world famous red carpet.

The 81th ceremony of the American Film Academy Awards – yes, the very statues Oscar – was held at the famous Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. It was broadcasted live on American TV channel ABC. The crisis was reflected in everything: dresses of celebrities were less alarming, the shining jewelry was not visible from space, and the ceremony was much poorer. For example, many permanent donors have reduced their advertising budgets and significantly cut their representation at the ceremony. A car Concern General Motors and cosmetics giant L’Oreal refused to show their commercials.

Besides, this year American Film Academy went on an unprecedented step – for the first time in the history the ceremony was interrupted by ads of new films in order to retain at least some profit. It is sad!

But celebrities pleased their fans even at impoverished “Oscar”.
To begin, of course, with winners, as it is known we don’t have the right to judge them. Fashion critics are not particularly troubled, and not pleased with newcomers in Hollywood, Frida Pinto and Dev Patel. Frida, was in the royal blue dress from John Galliano in a set with sandals from Jimmy Choo, and Dev, in the tuxedo from Burberry – cautiously, but a bit Indian. These winners are modest, but confident in themselves. We are looking forward to continuation.

Penelope Cruz, the owner of statue for the best female role of the second plan, again emphasized her exquisite taste. Her magnificent dress from Pierre Balmain is a vintage masterpiece of 1950. The ivory color, enormous femininity, lace and open shoulders – Penelope, bravo! By the way, Miss Cruz has long been in the centre of attention of the fashion critics. In 2008, she was shining in a dress from Chanel Haute Couture, and in 2007 – in a dress from Versace fashion house. But only the dress from Pierre Balmain was lucky for her.

Kate Winslet has changed neither her views of life, nor the strict taste. Kate chose the dark blue dress with anthracite accents from the Yves Saint Laurent studio together with her eight year-old daughter Mia.

Women in white
Many celebrities have chosen white as their color at the ceremony “Oscar 2009”. Besides Penelope Cruz, in white dresses were shining Jessica Beal (Prada) and Marissa Tomei (Versace), Sarah Jessica Parker (Dior Haute Couture) and Nicole Kidman (L’Wren Scott), Taraji Henson and Melissa George … And a lot of beautiful women and wonderful actresses.
We only speak about women! Even Mickey Rourke was in a white suit from Jean-Paul Gaultier!

Invasion of “mermaids”

Last year’s winner, Marion Kotiar and her “scaled” dress from Jean Paul Gaultier has long occupied the minds of the fashion critics. Reviews have been very different, often contradictory. And here on the red carpet is an invasion of mermaids! Celebrities in their costumes outplay the idea of scales, and metal castings of different lengths, different textures, but the effect of cold skin and luster are guaranteed. Kate Bosworth and a dress from Alexander McQueen, Jennifer Aniston and Valentino, Ann Hatuey and Armani Prive. Who is the next?

Dark, but pleasant Classic

Holly Berry in a dress from Marchesa, Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab, Meryl Streep in Alberta Ferretti, Vanessa Hudgens in Marchesa, Gwen Stefani, Sharon Stone. Remember: the dark colors do not always show sadness, often they are called to glitter eyes and emphasize the natural elegance.

The ceremony was colored by Marion Kotiar’s dark blue dress from Haute Couture Dior, Lisa Rinna was in a lilac dress, while Reese Witherspoon in blue … But 28-year-old Natalie Portman was out of the flow – her poignantly-pink dress was the most striking accent of “Oscar” this year.

Miracles
Every year, a celebrity (usually female) wears something that leads to confusion of both critics and fans. This year, Beyonce Knowles in her rich dress, which emphasized her rich body – was amazing. Unhappy pop diva, in the extended corset, could only smile and wink. It was noticeable that she made each step with great difficulty, but she struggled trying to look lean and taut. Black dress with gold prints in the form of leaves and flowers, we will remember forever.
The second act of celebrities, which can’t be left unnoticed, was, of course, the magnificent dress of Tilda Swinton from Lanvin. Black bottom and beige top of the dress the shade of which has mixed with her skin and hair made a lasting impression.

Failures

First in this list is Heidi Klum. The supermodel decided to repeat the sensation that she had on the red carpet last year in a luxurious scarlet dress from John Galliano. Yes, history has repeated the property, but unfortunately, in the form of farce. Red Dress-2009 Heidi has appeared to be inappropriate in the Kodak Theater. This dress repeated some details of last year’s masterpiece, but only designer Roland Mouret is not Galiano. We hope, that in 2010, the history will not be repeated the second time – in the form of tragedy.
Second, was the young talent Miley Cyrus in her complex multi-tier dress from Zuhair Murhad. It also has an absolutely stunning belt…

Ideological basis for the SUVENIR fashion house Autumn-Winter 2009/10 collections named «DRAMA» is the creativity of a great artist-modernist M.A. Vrubel. His most famous works are «Demon» and «Princess-Swan» which personify the unity of two origins: the fragile virginal beauty of female nature and a male essence powerful burst of passion, that is why the designer represented two collection lines at the same time: for men and women. Also, the designer presented a surprise to all in the form of a new line of fur and leather, which he has put into production this season. The creation of fur is similar to magic. And a delightful union of fur and connoisseur is always a miracle, both obvious and incredible.

Patters in Al-Nouveau and embroideries are required features in SUVENIR style. Usually they are magnificent and cheerful design and flowers that remind Pavlo-posadian scarves. But this season, senior designer of the brand Tatiana Alekhina created the dramatic gowns with sophisticated patterns and jacquard fabrics with al-Nouveau geometry. Colors of collection are built on complex combinations of blue-black, dark crimson and mustard colors. The play of various compound shades is giving a dramatic image of luxury. Space-charge details, close-fitting in the waist silhouettes that are so typical for Tatiana Alyokhina consequently give a fresh and fine look. Moreover, due to the skilful work with color and texture, decoration is not overloading the clothes. Jacquard fabric with floristic patterns which were used in this collection is very diverse. There are slightly fuzzy flowers, decorated with multi-threads or embroidery, small naively ironic bouquets on a dark background and the simple patterns of narrow-leaf form.

SUVENIR collection is very practical. It is always possible to find items for all occasions. The collection is full with flexible close-fitting coats with narrow shoulders, trousers and skirts from superfine Italian wool, chiffon blouses decorated with ruche and hanging bows, soft jackets with built-belts. Traditionally, much attention is paid to SUVENIR dresses. They are very different: ideally fitted cases with big details and patterns, summer dresses in the spirit of baby-doll, symmetrical drape tunics, dresses, balloon-dresses with tight bras and, of course, a collection of cocktail and evening dresses simply or richly decorated with semiprecious stone embroideries.

The Collection is completed with the stunning black mink, beige broadtail and fiery foxes, fur coats of different lengths, as well as leather products, tailored with natural mother-of-pearl, silver and pearls, with the finishing of fur silver fox and a black mink as well as unusual combinations of contrasting colors; subtle decoration will be certainly appreciated by the beautiful ladies. Sophisticated and rigorous collection gives you the feeling of magnificent luxury.

French fashion house Christian Lacroix is the next victim of the crisis. June 2, the company introduced an external control, informs AFP. In late May, the company, employing 125 people, declared bankruptcy and appealed to the Court to grant it protection from creditors.

The founder of the company, designer Christian Lacroix, last week sent a letter to the staff, in which he said that he was not sure “whether tomorrow will come to us.” At the same time, he assured the staff that he will do his utmost for the company to continue working in the field of high fashion. Lacroix said in the letter that he had recently worked for the company for free, and that the fashion house owed him 1.2 million euros. Couturier also noted that the management, which was realized by the shareholders, had been “disastrous.”

Christian Lacroix fashion house is considered one of the most famous and expensive French brands, but the actual owner of the brand is company Falic Group, located in the U.S. state of Florida.

Christian Lacroix fashion house was founded in 1987. The brand Christian Lacroix was bought in 2005 by the U.S. company Falic Group. Christian Lacroix is one of the most prominent and influential figures in the fashion world. With the ability to combine not combinable shades and receive incredible results, the French couturier received the nickname «the wizard with the magic brush». Christian Lacroix was born May 16, 1951 in a small provincial town of Arles in southern France. His parents, who were engineers gave all their soul to their son, and his father and grandmother awakened love for fashion in him since childhood – they were among most fashionable people in their town.

In 1970 – 1972 Lacroix studied art at the University Paul Valery University in Montpellier, and after moving to Paris continued his education at the Sorbonne. Find became the real passion agt that time and even today he easily remembers all the popular movies of those years and uses them in costumes. In 1972 he was enrolled at the Faculty of History of Art Sorbonne, after which he designed shoes and accessories for the fashion house Hermes, and also worked as an assistant at Guy Paulin. In 1974, Christian Lacroix married Francoise Rosenthiel.

The path to career heights Lacroix began modestly – as a working journalist and fashion-assistant in the fashion house Hermes. In 1981 he moved to the House of Jean Patou as a promising designer. In the early 80′s the name of a once glorious Fashion Houses Patou remembered only the most dedicated connoisseurs of fashion, and Lacroix in a short time was able to fully revive the company and tripling sales volume.

In 1987 Lacroix left Patou, to establish his own fashion house. The first collection of the great artist was created with financial support Agache Co. Ltd. House of Fashion Lacroix was the first salon haute couture, which was opened in Paris in the last twenty years.
